A crucial tripartite summit, featuring King Abdullah ibn Al Hussein of Jordan, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, convened in New El Alamein City. The focal point of the discussions was the ongoing Palestinian situation and its recent developments.

Following the summit, a joint statement was issued where the leaders solidified their call for an end to the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories. They emphasized the urgency of setting a clear timeframe for this action, as detailed by the Jordan News Agency.

Both King Abdullah and President El Sisi expressly conveyed their backing for President Abbas. They lauded his continued commitment to uphold the interests of the Palestinians and his endeavors to ensure their international protection.

According to the joint statement, the leaders unanimously recognized the resolution of the Palestinian issue and the establishment of a just and encompassing peace as both a strategic priority and a necessity at regional and international levels.

The conversation then shifted to the significant holy sites in Jerusalem. All three leaders expressed their staunch objection to the violations against the historical and legal norms within the sacred city. Specifically, they called for an immediate halt to the frequent infringements upon Al Aqsa Mosque/Al Haram Al Sharif.

In reaffirming the critical role of the Hashemite Custodianship, both the Egyptian and Palestinian presidents underscored its importance in preserving the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem. They commended its pivotal role in protecting the Arab essence of the city.

To culminate, the leaders committed to sustaining coordination within their trilateral association. Their objective is to buttress initiatives that galvanize international endeavors in securing the rightful claims of the Palestinian people.
